ADS PA-100 Telephone paging manager
ADS - Audio Design Services
The ADS PA-100 Telephone Paging Manager offers voice paging via a telephone through a public address system. It can be connected to a 2 – wire analogue telephone extension port, or if a VOIP system is in use an analogue telephone adaptor is readily available. There is an RCA audio output to the public address system, plus relay output for contact closure for switched voice priority if available.
By using “Store and Forward” the ADS PA-100 eliminates the possibility of feedback caused by an omni directional microphone in the telephone handset. The user’s voice message is recorded and upon pressing a button on the handset is broadcast via the public address system.
The ADS PA-100 also offers many more features, including the ability to review a message before sending. In addition, up to 9 pre-recorded messages can be stored on the internal SD card in MP3 format, for playback via the telephone keypad. This allows messages for school lockdown to be triggered, for example.
A single pre-recorded message can also be stored and triggered from a volt free contact (like a bell push) - this could be ideal for example for an alert for a caller at the door.
The ADS PA100 features a built-in loudspeaker for monitoring messages as they are broadcast.
• Store and forward (max message length 40 seconds).
• Remote triggering of pre-recorded messages - 9 user messages selected from phone keypad
• 1 user message triggered from volt free contact or button on device.
• Output to PA system.
• Access relay for PA input.
• User pre-announcement chime.
• Internal monitoring loudspeaker.
• Volume controls for recording, recording play and message play.
Martin: Hi, is there a line/Mic input available with the store and forward feature? I have a PA system in a factory and there are some bespoke units which has a fist mic connected into a custom built 'unit' which stores and records messages (avoiding feedback from the mics in the plant). 2 of 4 have failed, they are 20+ yrs old. Hi Martin,
No unfortunately not. The unit operates on a 2 wire analogue telephone system. If your client is using a VOIP phone system there may be an “analogue telephone adaptor” or if it is a standard 2 wire analogue phone system then and extension port could be provided (by others)
